Salamander 2 is the Arcade only (except in the Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus compilation), Japanesse sequel to Salamander/Life Force. You again pilot Vic Viper ala Gradius lore and the 2nd player pilots Super Cobra (another classic Konami tribute) to battle opposing forces in a side scrolling/topdown shooter adventure.

Salamander aka Life Force in the US is one of my favorite space shooters of all time. So since I have an arcade that plays virtually anything retro, I had to check it out. The original arcade version of Salamander is an amazing experience to say the least.

Mortal Kombat II...if you haven't played this game then you don't know what you are missing. After only plaything MK2 on my SuperNES over the past few years, I forgot how accessible and amazing the Arcade version of MK2 actually is. There is gore in droves and the classic motion capture graphics. The music from Mortal Kombat II is probably the best of the series and has been used in it's sequels.

This one was inevitable as this is an arcade that, not only was played tons growing up, but we currently own. VS Super Mario Bros bascially took the NES version and upped the difficulty level a bit. It wasn't to the extent of Super Mario Bros 2 (Lost Levels), but it was a little bit harder.

The arcade version of Paperboy is some thing of lore nowadays. For some reason, I am no good at the home versions of the Paperboy games, but plop me down on an arcade and I am the master!
