Innovation, that's what Scribblenauts brings to the table. It's a puzzle game that basically allows you to create any object you can think of to accomplish a task. For example, if you need to get a certain object for a person that's on a cliff high up, you can type ladder and climb to it, or you can type jetpack and fly.

Mario and Luigi - Bowser's Inside Story is the next game in the handheld Mario RPG series, beginning with Mario and Luigi - SuperStar Saga and Mario and Luigi - Partners in Time. To me, these are spiritual successors to Super Mario RPG for the SuperNES. Bowser's Inside Story is another beautifully made game that shows that Nintendo still has it when it comes to the Mario franshise. The story is a little new, but more of the same with trouble coming to the Mushroom Kingdom and Mario/Luigi needing to save the day.

I saw Retro Game Challenge at Best Buy and being the OCD classic gamer that I am, I had to get it. The story in the game is a bit tedious as you cannot skip it and after every challenge you must read blocks of text. The gaming aspect is a blast from the past. Right off the bat I was treated to a clone of Galaga, which is one of my favorite arcade games.

I have heard that Contra 4 is supposed to be one of the greatest retro remakes of recent, so I decided to give it a try, Hagen style. I'm going to do a kind of play by play as I'm going through the game. I'll pause and comment as I see anything that I think is cool or worth mentioning. On with the show...
